This nine-course, college-level program is the most advanced financial planning certification available! Almost 50,000 professionals have earned this respected designation. Each course involves an average of 50 hours of study, and while you can move through the program at your own pace, many students take one course every three months. On October 1, 2009 the ChFC® moved from eight course to nine, making it an even more comprehensive program.

Testing centers across the country administer course exams, which you can schedule shortly after you register. The College provides extensive practice questions and online study tools to supplement the textbooks you receive when you register. You may sign up for a single course or enroll for the entire program. If you have already completed your CFP® Certification, you only need to complete three additional courses to earn the advanced ChFC® credential.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, and CFP(with flame logo)® in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board's initial and ongoing certification requirements.

The mark ChFC® is the property of The American College and may be used by individuals who have successfully completed the initial and ongoing certification requirements for this designation.
